Minnie Tittel Brune was born in San Francisco where she made her first stage appearance in 1887. When she was on tour after that she played among other parts Juliet, Cleopatra and Rosalind. While she was in Australia from 1904 until 1909 she played Juliet. She did not appear on the London stage until 1909 when she had great success as Claire Forster in Clyde Fitch's The Woman in the Case. Her last Shakespeare role was in 1910 when she played Chorus in Lewis Waller's production of Henry V.
