Violet Vanbrugh as Queen Katherine in "Henry VIII"

Vanbrugh won critical acclaim in the role of Queen Katherine in Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree’s production of Henry VIII in 1910; the next year she played the part in a silent film. Her success in the role was such that in 1915 she was chosen to play Katherine in the “all-star revival” of Henry VIII at His Majesty’s Theatre, London. Published by J.
