Miss Vanbrugh is depicted here in one of her best Shakespearean roles; the critics acclaimed her a success in the part of Queen Katherine when she played in Sir H. B. Beerbohm’s production at His Majesty’s Theatre in 1910. The play was revived with Vanbrugh as the Queen in 1915 in a benefit performance for the Actors’ Pension Fund. see back of this card
